Install qBittorrent 3.0 in Ubuntu/Linux Mint (New Release)

The qBittorrent project aims to provide a Free Software alternative to �torrent. Additionally, qBittorrent runs and provides the same features on all major platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, OS/2, FreeBSD). qBittorrent is based on Qt4 toolkit and libtorrent-rasterbar.

New Features and bugs fixed:
  • Brand new torrent addition dialog
  • Add the ability to choose the save path when using magnet links (mutoso)
  • Add support for adding multiple local torrents at once (Web UI)
  • Improve style of left panel
  • Lower panels no longer gets disabled
  • Major code refactoring and various optimizations
  • No longer strip root folder from torrent files
  • Drop support for libtorrent v0.14.x

To install qBittorrent in Ubuntu/Linux mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hydr0g3n/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
